“Even Jesus” Live in San Diego

We’re on the home stretch of our stay in Los Angeles and we’ve had an awesome time so far.  Our whole group of friends, family, road crew (aka Connolly), and publicity team have been amazing and ridiculously hospitable.  We’ll have a wrap-up posted here soon with tons of pictures from the trip.  For now, check out the video of “Even Jesus” live at Onyx in San Diego.

Right now we just checked into a new hotel on Santa Monica Blvd  and all we have left to do is gear up for our show at Whisky A-Go-Go on Tuesday night.  Then we’re gonna haul ass back to NY for Giles Jam in Warwick…can’t wait!

Updates From Cali

So while the rest of the band has been spending their free time growing huge egos and terrible facial hair, Pete is getting himself on TV.  If you haven’t seen this yet, check out Pete singing “God Bless America” at the Dodgers game on Thursday night:

We had a great time playing Room 5 last night and catching up with some old friends and family as well.  Tonight we’re off to Onyx in San Diego for some late night rockin.  If you’re in the area, come on out and have a good time.  Find out more about other California shows over the next week here.  Keep it here for more Cali shenanigans.

Shake and bake,

-the guys

Road Trippin’

Don't mind if I do...Hey!  So, here we are in Oklahoma, or something, on our way out to California.  It’s going as well as one could hope but it smells a little worse.  Our windshield is a bug cemetery; Mike has been driving for 32 hours straight and he already drank 97 cans of Pepsi; and we lost our friend Connolly, possibly all the way back in Pennsylvania.  All in all, not so bad.

If you haven’t already, check out our brand new video here!  See the previous post for all of the delicious info.  Also, if you’re in Cali and want to see us play one or several of our shows, check out all of the dates and details here.

That’s all for now.  We’re gonna get busy producing an episode of the Variety Show (road edition) for you people and get it up ASAP!

Cheers,

the guys

We are very proud to share with you this video for our first single, “Semi-Automatic” from the album Strangers We’ll Become.  Check out the video, share with your friends, and enjoy!  We had a blast working with Producer Ben Baisden, Director Robert Bischoff, and Director of Photography Corey Snyder and we’re thrilled with the work they did to make this all happen.  Check out their other work -- these are some seriously talented guys!  Extra special thanks also go to Marius Becker (Gaffer/Grip), Katherine De Leon (Actress), Naomi Dubaldi (Makeup Artist), and Chris Connolly (PA).  Awesome work all around.

As we get ready to head out to the West Coast, we’ll keep you updated on our shows and shenanigans from the road.  Love you all!

Drumroll please…

Video Updates

So, after an awesome 4th of July show in Cape Cod, we are ready to start gearing up for California.  But first, we’ve got some NY shows coming up in the month of July (not to mention a loooong drive across the country).  Don’t forget to check back here every once in a while for new shows as they get confirmed.  Right now we have some really exciting stuff planned for the west coast, but there will be more!

Meanwhile, we’ve got a whole bunch of video updates to tell you about.  If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure you check out the “unofficial” video for “Through the Gate” off of the new album Strangers We’ll Become.  It was filmed on our trip to Texas for South By Southwest 2010 and edited by the one and only Michael Paul Esserman.

Next up we’ve got a new episode of The Mike and Eric Variety Show floating around the internet somewhere.  It’s rumored to have been banned in several states, but a little birdy told us you can watch it here…

And last but not least we’ve got an update on the official video for our first single, “Semi-Automatic.”  We had a chance to see the first edit of the video this week and we are really excited about it.  We expect it to be completed within the next few weeks and we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as it’s posted so you can watch it over and over and over!

That’s all for now.  Stay cool, drink lots of water, don’t forget your sunblock!

Album Release Party, Round 2

Hey!  So, our album release party was so awesome that we decided to have another one this Friday night, June 18th.   This time right in our very own hometown of Monroe, NY.  Where, you ask?  I’ll tell you where.  Someplace warm.   A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.  I’m talking about a little place called Bourbon Street!

We’ll be playing an extended set including a few covers so come out and drink, dance, go pantsless, or whatever it is the kids are doing these days, and enjoy a Friday night with friends.

In other news, we’ll be playing the Cape Cod area this 4th of July, so start making your road trip plans now.   Keep it tuned to Stuedabakerbrown.com for more updates and general nonsense from the guys.   Remember, if you haven’t heard the new album yet, listen to it for free HERE…but then go BUY IT so you can put it on a cassette tape for your Walkman.

Album Release Party Tomorrow Night

Just a reminder that this Saturday is our album release party at the Bowery Poetry Club in NYC.  We’d love to see all of your faces there, so make some plans.  We go on at 10pm, but showing up early is highly recommended.  We’ll be featuring a few guest musicians; and remember, all attendees get a free copy of the album!

Don’t forget you can listen to the whole album for free here.  So go listen up so you can pretend to know all the lyrics for the show tomorrow.

Hope to see you there!

Much Love,

-Pete, Eric, Mike, and Steve
