Monroe, NY’s Stuedabakerbrown has a growing and impressive list of professional accolades: rising from a hometown favorite to selling out notorious NYC rock clubs such as The Bitter End, to sharing the stage with national touring artists like Say Anything, Matt and Kim, The Spill Canvas, and more. Their electric live show is a must-see, and their road-cultivated skill as entertainers is matched equally by their determination and business savvy. Further vindicated by steady album sales and song placements in MTV’s Jersey Shore and Real World: New Orleans, plus inclusion in the hit video game Rock Band, this fully independent band is in full stride.
Their 2010 album Strangers We’ll Become has been hailed as a breakthrough release for the New York quintet. The 11-song album “hypnotizes in the best way possible. It's like Radiohead meets The Fray but even a little catchier,” praises ARTISTdirect.com editor and Dolor author Rick Florino. The entire album and most of the band’s catalog has been licensed for use on cable networks including MTV, ESPN, and E! Several live performances by Stuedabakerbrown have been featured on Fearless Music TV, a nationally syndicated live music program. They have also received regular airplay and artist spotlights on Q104.3 in New York City, WHUD in the Hudson Valley, and WRRV in Poughkeepsie, NY as well as a plethora of local and college radio stations. The band also enjoyed selections to 2010’s Red Gorilla Festival in Austin, TX and CMJ Music Marathon in New York, NY.
The band is currently working on a follow up album to Strangers We’ll Become, expected to be released in early 2012. All of the band’s albums, EP’s, and singles have been self-released and are currently available at all major online retailers.
